Friendship Village of Bloomington Earns Newsweek Best CCRC Recognition

Friendship Village of Bloomington, a sophisticated senior living community in Bloomington, Minnesota, earned top marks in Newsweek’s first-ever ranking of America’s Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities. Friendship Village of Bloomington was ranked fourth in the country by Newsweek when compared to all other CCRCs in the U.S.

“From living independently to assisted living and skilled nursing, each [community] offers comprehensive services, ensuring residents can age with dignity and grace,” said Newsweek Global Editor-in-Chief Nancy Cooper. “This year, we are proud to award the leading 250 CCRCs in the United States—places where residents not only live but thrive.”

Newsweek gathered data for the ranking in collaboration with Statista, a global market research company. Newsweek also included Friendship Village of Bloomington in its recent article discussing the rising trend of seniors choosing CCRCs over other alternatives in the U.S. According to Newsweek, “there are about 2,000 CCRCs across the United States”—a number that is growing.
