At the recommendation of the Minnesota Department of Health, late last week we tested additional Health Center residents for COVID-19, including some who were asymptomatic. While several results were negative, today we learned of three additional positive cases.
At this time, we have eleven active Health Center resident cases of COVID-19. All of our residents are being cared for in isolation in the Friendship Village of Bloomington Health Center. We will be testing additional Health Center residents at the direction of physicians, the Bloomington Public Health Division and the Minnesota Department of Health.
We understand this is an extremely challenging situation. The health and safety of our residents and team members at Friendship Village of Bloomington is our singular focus, and we ask for your continued support as we all navigate this unprecedented pandemic together. We will continue to follow closely the protocols of local, state and federal agencies to continue to protect the well-being of our residents and team members.
