Update as of May 9, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. CST

For today’s update regarding the ongoing health and wellness of our residents and team members, we can report that there are no new resident cases of COVID-19 in our community.

By way of recap, as of May 8, we have 14 active Health Center resident cases of COVID-19, many of whom remain asymptomatic or are showing mild signs of the virus. We have set up an isolation area in our Health Center and our residents who tested positive are being cared for in this area. We ask that you keep all of them in your thoughts, as we continue to care for them every day.

As part of our ongoing commitment to our residents and team members, earlier this week Friendship Village of Bloomington began offering voluntary COVID-19 testing for all team members. We will provide an appropriate update as we learn more about the testing results.

We understand the toll the COVID-19 pandemic has taken on our residents, their families, and team members. But we want everyone to know that our singular focus has been and will continue to be the health and well-being of our residents and team members in this community.

All of our safety protocols remain in place, and we encourage everyone to continue to follow heightened infection control guidelines. As we have done throughout the last several weeks, we will regularly communicate updates about our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy community.

Please contact your Friendship Village of Bloomington management team with questions and concerns. Thank you for your continued support.
