Update as of May 22, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. CST

We want to provide you with an update on our Friendship Village of Bloomington community and the ongoing health and wellness of our residents amid the COVID-19 pandemic. While we currently have no active resident cases of COVID-19, on Friday, May 22, we were notified a team member tested positive for the virus. This team member is not a direct care provider and had minimal contact with our residents. The team member is currently self-isolating at home.

We continue to follow our infection control protocols and work closely with the Bloomington Public Health Division and the Minnesota Department of Health.

Also, while the Governor of Minnesota has begun to ease COVID-19 related restrictions, Lifespace and Friendship Village of Bloomington continue to follow heightened infection control guidelines. We encourage everyone to only leave the community for essential needs like groceries or critical medical appointments, practice social distancing and proper hand hygiene. As we have done throughout the last several weeks, we will regularly communicate updates about our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy community.

Please contact your Friendship Village of Bloomington management team with questions and concerns. Thank you for your continued support.

The Minnesota Department of Health offers additional information about COVID-19 in our state.
