We want to provide an update on COVID-19 within our Friendship Village of Bloomington community. We learned Friday, September 18th, that one of our Health Center residents tested positive for the virus and is being cared for in our community.
By way of recap, we have one total active team member cases of COVID-19, and this individual is self-isolating at home with the support of our Human Resources team.
We understand that you have concerns and may have questions about COVID-19 and the current situation in our community. Please know we continue with our commitment to protect the health and safety of our residents and team members. Our team continues to be proactive in mitigating the risk of further exposure to the virus within our community.
Lifespace and Friendship Village of Bloomington continue to follow heightened infection control guidelines and we highly encourage residents to only leave the community for essential needs like groceries or critical medical appointments. Residents and team members are encouraged to practice social distancing and wear a mask or face covering when you interact with others in public settings. Proper hand hygiene including handwashing and the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer are essential to preventing the spread of the virus. As we have done throughout the last several weeks, we will provide regular updates about our efforts to maintain a safe and healthy community.
We appreciate your support and continued adherence to the protocols we have implemented to protect our residents and team members. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Friendship Village of Bloomington management team.
Thank you
